At Die Blüte, we deeply respect and express our gratitude to the First Nations of the West Kootenay region: the Sinixt (Lakes) and the Ktunaxa peoples, on whose traditional territories we are honoured to operate.

Hello! I’m Aimee, the grower and designer behind Die Blüte [dee blo͞o-t], a micro flower farm nestled in South Slocan, B.C. My love for flowers blossomed when I returned to the West Kootenay region to care for my father, an avid gardener with a passion for flowers. Before his passing in 2018, we spent precious years bonding over flower catalogues and gardening together. Die Blüte, meaning "the blossom" in German, honors my father's heritage and our shared love for flowers, symbolizing both growth and self-discovery.

Inspired by my father, I embraced gardening after inheriting his property. I wanted to honour his memory by growing flowers in abundance. I also wanted to create a vision that celebrated the biodiversity of our area. Learning about the Soil Food Web and soil structure transformed my approach to gardening. I discovered that supporting plant life means mimicking natural processes, making gardening easier and more sustainable.

Our most popular service is our seasonal Bouquet Subscriptions, delivering beautiful blooms to your door. We also accept bookings for custom-made arrangements, perfect for gifts or events. For those who love to create their own floral masterpieces, we offer bulk buckets of flowers, ideal for DIY weddings or personal projects. Additionally, we dahlia tubers for aspiring gardeners and occasionally hold a plant start sale in the Spring, featuring individual potted plants.

At Die Blüte, my main goal is to inspire people to appreciate nature in all its magical forms. By sharing knowledge, inspiration, and supplies, I hope to bring the same joy of gardening to others that I experience every day.
